This Privacy Policy explains how My Financial Freedom Tracker, operated by Dennis Vymer (Czech Republic), collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information.
We collect the following information:
We use your information to:
We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties or share your financial data with advertisers.
When you upload a bank statement or broker export, its text is sent to a trusted AI provider (currently OpenAI) so it can read the transactions into a clean list. Personal identifiers such as account numbers and IBANs are removed from broker exports before they are sent; bank-statement text is currently sent without that step. AI runs only on files you upload (never on data you enter by hand), and the provider does not use your data to train its models. AI category-guessing is off by default.
The only third parties that process your data do so to run the Service. None are advertisers or data brokers, and none sell your data or use it to train their models:
We use PostHog for product analytics on an EU-hosted instance: your IP address is dropped, we never record your screen, financial figures and personal details are scrubbed before anything is stored, and analytics only run once you are signed in.
We implement security measures including password hashing (bcrypt), HTTPS encryption, JWT authentication, and database access controls.
Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR), you have the right to:
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account Settings. To request a copy of your data, email us and we'll help.
To exercise these rights, contact: support@myfinancialfreedomtracker.com
You can connect a third-party AI client of your choice (such as Claude by Anthropic or ChatGPT by OpenAI) to your account using the open Model Context Protocol (MCP). This section explains what that involves.
After you connect a client and grant consent, it can access the financial data in your account — transactions and categories, budgets, net-worth accounts and balances, investment holdings and portfolio analysis, properties and mortgages, and your financial-independence (FIRE) plan and its settings. With write access it can also add or categorize transactions, import statement rows you provide, and update your plan and holdings. The connector never exposes account-management actions (it cannot delete your account, change your password or email, or delete categories).
Important: when you use a connected AI client, the data it requests is transmitted to the provider of the client you chose (for example Anthropic for Claude, or OpenAI for ChatGPT), under your own account and that provider's terms and privacy policy. We do not choose that provider for you and we do not control how they process your data. Only connect clients you trust.
To operate the connector we store your consent grants (which client, which scopes, when created and last used) and a security audit log of tool calls (the tool name, a status, and a one-way hash of the arguments — never the raw financial content). Access tokens are short-lived (60 minutes); refresh tokens are stored only as a hash.
Consent grants persist until you revoke them or your account is deleted. Audit-log entries are retained for up to 12 months, and expired or revoked credentials are pruned routinely. Deleting your account removes all connector data.
You approve every connection and choose read-only or read-and-write access. You can review and revoke any connected app at any time from Settings → Connected apps; revocation takes effect immediately.
